I would suggest shaving your mustache and lose the necklace (if it's special in some way, perhaps you could tuck it into your shirt?). Depending on the jacket, you MAY want to lose it, too... Maybe you come off as a little intimidating with your style? Good luck and continue on being polite but above all remember that being yourself is the most important thing. You're still young and the right girl will come along. You don't need to change for anybody when it comes to your style. Also, we are all going off imagination, so we could be wrong since we don't even know what you and your style looks like.
