Is the Creative X Fi Sound Blaster Laptop Computer Sound Card good?

I have a cheap SB Audigy card in my desktop I picked up from Wal-mart, and it has superior quality to my other computer's built-in sound. I don't don't about laptop sound cards, but if you can ick it up, go for it. I'd research how it impacts battery life first.
