What type of coin is this? Pics Included?

The item in question looks like a coin used in jewelry. In 1897 the old head was used, the one you show was used up to 1892. The photo gives me no idea of size but it looks like it is a reproduction of a 1/2 Sovereign. It was probably made in Britain and is a little off, so they would not run afoul of the law. If date and bust don't match that is usually enough to keep the law away.
